For most of my 21 years in the IT industry, I've marvelled at the fact that we must spend a collective "million years" finding component prices, massaging them furiously to fit the client's bottom line, fiddling with a word processor or spreadsheet to get everything looking really professional. In fact, the average salesperson spends 32.5 minutes each hour doing just this!

And it gets worse: Occasionally I have been guilty of being asked for a quote by a hot prospect, failing to find the 30 minutes in a busy day required to put it together, and missing a sure thing! Many of my associates report the same sad fact.

Some time ago I set out to change all of that....
